Arneson Gaming
My little homage...
A few years ago I caught the Secrets of Blackmoor movie (highly recommended) and the parts where players spoke about how Mr Arneson actually ran his early games stuck with me. Inspired by this, I wrote this ‘game’ up in one sitting: Arneson Gaming. It is a very FKR (to borrow a modern term based on a very old idea) and probably not of interest to players who like crunch and highly detailed RPGs, but for whatever reason, it resonated with many people and has now been graciously translated into numerous languages. The game has been downloaded over 2,000 times.
A friend is now doing a little solo gaming with AG and I suddenly became inspired to create some character cards for the game. Two fit on a 4x6 card as you can see below. As soon as I have some time, I am going to start tossing some dice again!

I need that card! I now preparing an adventure in 5e for my friends and I think how unnecessarily complicated it is. In this case, a few words and how powerful they are! thanks for that. I will have to try it solo
